Punk Chartbusters Vol. 4

BY Rob FerrazPublished Feb 1, 2002

Punk cover records have become an industry of themselves in the last few years and this German label seems to be adept at carving its own niche with their offerings. This is the fourth and it's a double disc containing 53 songs from an international array of bands. And with that many songs the chances of some crummy songs increases. Some of the better tracks include the Living End covering "Tainted Love," Face To Face doing Sugar's "Helpless" and Apocalypse Hoboken's take on Prince's "Darling Nikki." Of course, many of these songs are available on other records but this is a two for the price of one set. If you're into the punk covers thing, you'll get some listening pleasure out of this.
