Not the Same Old Song and Dance: A Tribute to Aerosmith

BY Stuart GreenPublished Dec 1, 1999

File this one under entirely pointless. A bunch of really bad hair metal rejects from such bands as Warrant, Slaughter, Quiet Riot, Ratt and L.A. Guns who haven't been relevant since that embarrassing 15 minutes in the ‘80s, pay tribute to a band that stopped being relevant about the same time. This 11-track collection features such rock luminaries as Mark Slaughter, Rudy Sarzo and Frankie Banali, Stephen Pearcy and Vince Neil doing major disservice to some good and some not so good Aerosmith songs. About the only song that has any merit is former Tubes frontman Fee Waybill delivering “Walk This Way.”
