John Tucker Must Die

BY Ariana RockPublished Sep 1, 2006

This is the atypical summer release soundtrack, which also happens to seemingly perfectly suit the accompanying flick. Starting off with All American Rejects’ "Dirty Little Secret” and up-and-comers Cartel’s "Honestly,” before breaking into ’80s electro pop heaven with Stefy’s "Chelsea” and "Fool for Love,” resulting in a fun, upbeat summer cruiser compilation. All you’ll need is an appropriately sized boom box, an old school banana bike with coloured spoke beads and a bit of sunshine with your friends, and you’ll be set for a winner. It includes a super relaxed version of Modest Mouse’s "Float On” performed by Ben Lee, as well as other great tracks by Nada Surf and OK GO, whose "This Will Be Our Year” is the standout track on the soundtrack, blending perfectly together the fun in the sun portion of the album with the laidback indie portion. You’ll finally be prepared for those impromptu bike-riding sessions you can never seem to make the perfect mix CD for.
