I’m totally stoked over the first release from Ottawa’s latest and greatest record label, Sweet Chin Music. Besides being named after a whoop-ass wrestling move (how cool is that?), this comp is jammed with enough punk and post rock to fire up your dancing shoes well into next month. Featuring unreleased tracks from such bands as Vancouver’s low-fi superstars the Beans, hardcore/emo rockers Prisons Come Home and the post-rock wonder of Sofa. This non-profit organisation is dedicated to nothing else, but to spread their love of music, and is always looking for new acts. How can they be anything else but cool?
