'The Mint/CiTR Pop Alliance Compilation - Volume 3' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 25, 2013

Mint Records have teamed up yet again with the University of British Columbia's CiTR 101.9 FM with the 3rd volume of their Pop Alliance series. While the stacked set doesn't officially drop digitally or on limited-edition wax until March 5, you can sample the whole thing now courtesy of Exclaim!

As previously reported, you may have heard a few of the numbers on the comp already, namely tracks from Peace and Needles//Pins, but there's still plenty of minty fresh goodness to get through on the rest of the disc. This includes exclusive cuts like Jay Arner's amped-up yet airy jangle pop track "Bad Friend 2" and Aaron Read's '90s lo-fi-styled "Unlimited Sight." We've also got a preview of '50s pop-minded outfit Movieland's upcoming Green Burrito debut via the comp's opener "1-2-3-4 Get Fucked."

Elsewhere, you have tracks from Weed, Fanshaw, Korean Gut, Babysitter and more.

A record release show for The Mint/CiTR Pop Alliance Compilation - Volume 3 takes place March 8 at Vancouver's Chapel Arts venue and will feature sets from Peace, Gal Gracen, Sleuth and more. But for now, soak in the entire comp below.
