BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 31, 2014

Beyoncé recently reminded us that "Gender Equality is a Myth," and now a host of female artists have teamed up to spread their own feminist message.

Dubbed "Go Forth, Feminist Warriors," this Rookie-organized collaboration features a massive list of (mostly) female contributors. They are, in order of appearance, Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield, MNDR, Kate Nash, Kimya Dawson, Suzy X., Rookie's Tav Gevinsoni, Katy Davidson, Marianna Ritchey, Geneviève Castrée, Thao Nguyen, Storey Littleton, Tegan and Sara, Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee Penny, Ted Leo, Aimee Mann, Psalm One, and Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein.

The catchy, minimal electronic pop song was written with Katy Davidson of Gossip/Key Losers and her Lloyd & Michael collaborator Marianna Ritchey. It sports a sincere message about empowering women while also featuring plenty of funny moments, such as a freestyle about eating pizza by Carrie Brownstein.
