'Death Waltz Halloween Mix'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Oct 31, 2012

Spooky sounds are going to dominate the day, obviously, but the question is, how exactly are you going to score your scary-ass Halloween? Soundtrack reissue specialists Death Waltz Recording Company are here with a couple of helping severed hands, and are showing off some of the spoils of their catalogue with a Halloween mix of their own.

The collection gathers dialogue snippets from all over the horror map, from The Omen to Hellraiser, combining them with synthscapes from John Carpenter & Alan Howarth's recently reissued Halloween III soundtrack, snatches of Goblin's Suspiria work, and Angelo Badalamenti's dreamy Twin Peaks theme.

Try not to laser your face off while tossing on your favourite Silver Shamrock-brand rubber mask (we like Skull), and await the Apocalypse the way Death Waltz wants you to. Remember, this mix is all for you.

While you're at it, check out Exclaim!'s 10 Horror Soundtracks No Halloween Should Be Without list to get even more spooky ooky.
