Over 30 years after Vangelis' Blade Runner score first appeared onscreen, the Greek new age composer's work is being repressed on a new vinyl version of the soundtrack. The tweaked-up offering arrives courtesy of Audio Fidelity and is listed on Amazon as being up for grabs on April 16.
The soundtrack is being served up on translucent-red 180-gram vinyl and will be housed in a gatefold package. Judging by the tracklisting on Audio Fidelity's listing for the LP, its, um, replicant isn't the original 1982 soundtrack that featured eight songs interpreted by the New American Orchestra, but rather Vangelis' official release, which was offered up as a 12-song set in 1994 before dropping as an expanded three-CD set in 2007. Of course, the soundtrack appeared in various expanded forms over the years on a variety of bootlegs as well.

Thanks to Modern Vinyl for the tip.
