Vancouver's Vapid Prep Practically Dead Debut

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jun 10, 2009

With the huge love that followed Vapid's excellent seven-inch debut, Do the Earthquake, the brash, abrasive Vancouver punk quartet hit the road and toured North America, all the while laying down the tracks for their upcoming debut full-length. And while an exact release date has not yet been set for the hotly tipped record, we do now know that it's called Practically Dead, and will be a split release between Vancouver's Nominal Records and Gibson, BC's Deranged Records.

In a recent blog post, the band simply wrote, "We've finishing recording our LP Practically Dead and [it] should be available mid-summer." The release date can't be too far off, as Nominal lists the record as being "recorded and mixed."

Either way, Vancouver fans can kill the time with a triage of upcoming shows in the city, including one with ex-Dead Moon vets Pierced Arrows. Exciting!
