Vancouverites looking for some locally minded all-ages festival fun this summer are in luck, as the inaugural Sun Fest promises a BC-heavy lineup featuring sets from Nü Sensae, the Courtneys, Humans and more.

Described as "an all day, all ages, local rock, garage, and punk music festival," Sun Fest kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on August 31 at the Polish Community Centre (4015 Fraser St.) and will feature close to 40 bands performing across three stages.

Other acts booked to play include locals Needles//Pins, War Baby, White Poppy, Johnny de Courcy, Watermelon, Koban, Cascadia, Crystal Swells, Woolworm and Hallow Moon, as well as Arizona garage rock crew Destruction Unit.

You can see the full lineup over here, where you'll also find a tentative set schedule.

Tickets are going for $20 and can be picked up at local record stores Red Cat, Zulu and Zoo Zhop.
