Despite forming way back in 2011, noise-loving Vancouver crew storc are just now gearing up for their debut full-length. In advance of its release later this week, you can let the self-titled release pummell you into submission right now.

The four-piece consists of guitarist Allen Forrister and bassist Matthew Lyons (both of Nasty On, Christa Min, Sun Arise), drummer Ben Frith (Thor, Thee Manipulators, Vicious Cycles) and Vancouver music fixture/vocalist Luke Meat. On the boards, local sound wizard Josh Stevenson (White Lung, Nu Sensae) recorded and engineered the album.

The results are described as "unhinged, raw, punishing and again, at times, melodic." Despite the overreaching heaviness, the album also all comes with a welcomed dose of weird, sliding in bits of paisley-tinted psych, shoegaze and krautrock alongside buzzsaw guitars, garage-minded stomps and classic Pacific Northwest sludge. A simple sonic beast this is not.

The band will be celebrating the album with a release show in Vancouver on Saturday (November 18) at SBC, but you can get in early on the album now down below.

You can also grab storc's album over here on both vinyl and digitally. You can get more info about the release show over here.
