Vancouver's #SingItFwd Announces Final Charity Event

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 10, 2015

Annual Vancouver charity fundraiser #SingItFwd will be returning this holiday season for its fifth and final instalment. Presented by 102.7 The Peak and the Vogue Theatre, the event will deliver two nights jam-packed with musical fun on January 14 and 15.

The event is designed to build community and raise awareness and funds for the Saint James Music Academy, which offers educational music programs to children in Vancouver at no cost to the students' families. The goal for the 2016 event is to raise $75,000, bringing #SingItFwd's accumulated contributions up to $200,000.

#SingItFwd was co-founded by David Vertesi of Hey Ocean! and Ambrosia Vertesi, and they've opted to keep this year's musical lineup a surprise. Performers will be kept secret until the days of the shows, but organizers are promising "the most epic shows to date."

Former artists that have partnered up for the cause include Hey Ocean!, K-os, Hannah Georgas, Shad, Dan Mangan and Mother Mother.

While this year's performers won't be revealed just yet, tickets for the event are already on sale. You can find full details and purchase tickets over here.
