Vancouver's Sightlines Unveil Jay Arner-Produced LP

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 16, 2016

They've released a cassette tape, a split 7-inch and even a single song on a floppy disc, and now it's finally time for Vancouver pop punk power trio Sightlines to deliver their debut album.

The release is called "North" (the quotation marks are part of the title), and it was recorded by Jay Arner. There are nine brand new tracks, as well as rerecorded versions of the 7-inch songs "Foreknowledge" and "Commiseration."

"North" will arrive on April 15 as a split release between Big Smoke and Alarum Records.

Today Exclaim! is happy to premiere another song from the album. "Parts Per Million" is exactly the sort of anthemic pop song that frontman Eric Axen has mastered over the years, using simple rock elements to build to a triumphant, satisfying climax.

Listen to "Parts Per Million" below along with the previously released "Hospital."

"North":

1. The Idea of North
2. Hospital
3. The Tent
4. Whitehorse
5. Commiseration
6. Perfect Survivor
