Vancouver post-punk crew lié are returning with a new album. And to show us what to expect from the record called You Want It Real, the band have rolled out a video for lead single "Digging in the Desert."

The album arrives on February 28 via Mint Records. But right now, you can get an early preview with the clip for "Digging in the Desert," which was directed by Justin Gradin (White Lung, Black Mountain).

As you'll see, the clip features the sandy landscape of New Mexico, which lié bassist/vocalist Brittany West said she chose to explore what she describes as "hedonistic feelings and being eaten alive by the hardships of love playing out in a fever dream in my mind."

Watch the "Digging in the Desert" video below.

You Want It Real marks the fourth full-length album from lié, who got Jesse Gander (White Lung, Japandroids) to produce the record.

Speaking of the album as a whole, guitarist/vocalist Ashlee Luk explained the following:

Part of the shift away from the direct lyrics of previous albums is also to encourage the listener (and the interviewer) to focus on the music as well, not just the lyrics. When people focus too much on the lyrics it tends to overshadow the musicality which I think should speak for itself, especially on this album. That being said, this doesn't mean any less care was taken in constructing the lyrics, quite the opposite actually, more that there has just been an effort to focus more on imagery and flow.

Down below, you can see the tracklist for the upcoming record, while the artwork is pictured above. You can now pre-order the album.
