The Fox Cabaret is a concert venue and dance club in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. Like so many venues across the countries, the Fox has been shut throughout the pandemic and is now struggling to stay afloat. The venue has shared a two-hour concert film, The Sounds of the Fox Cabaret, and has launched a fundraiser and silent auction, along with a GoFundMe campaign.

The Sounds of the Fox Cabaret was filmed over a few days this fall (with social distancing in place), with most performers appearing on-stage in the empty venue and a few submitting their contributions remotely. According to an announcement from the Fox, "The project was conceived as a way to show how vital and important the Fox Cabaret is to the artists who use its stage to express their talents, and, very kindly, to support a fundraising campaign to help the venue make it through the pandemic."

Artists include Devours, Blue J, Harlequin Gold, Sleepy Gonzales, Teon Gibbs, Jenny Banai and many more. Improv troupe the Sunday Service, who normally perform at the Fox, also appear.

Watch The Sounds of the Fox Cabaret below. The suggested donation for watching the film is $9.99. Donations and silent auction bids can be made here. Also be sure to check out the venue's GoFundMe.
