Now in its 34th year, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival is once again returning to Jericho Beach Park. This year's instalment of the annual event will take place from July 15 to 17, and the organizers have just unveiled a lengthy list of performers.
Vancouver's Georgia Straight reports that this year's lineup includes Joel Plaskett, Jim Bryson and the Weakerthans Band, Elliott Brood, Buck 65, Roseanne Cash, Justin Townes Earl, Gillian Welch, Danny Michel, Kathryn Calder, Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band, Imaginary Cities and the Burning Hell. Interestingly, actor Tim Robbins will be performing with the Rogues Gallery Band.
The full lineup will be confirmed tomorrow (April 28), but early bird tickets are available from now until June 11 at the festival's website. A weekend pass for adults will currently cost $135 and $150 after June 11, or $165 at the gate. Single-day tickets are also available, and you can get a discount if you're a student, youth or senior.
