Published Aug 14, 2008If youve been paying any attention, youll already know that Vancouver is currently home to some of Canadas finest in experimental punk rock bands. From the amped-up, youthful energy of B-Lines to the angular, minimal garage rock of Defektors, a lot of this local talent can be heard on the Hockey Dad Records imprint. And, for those lucky enough to live on the West coast, those two bands will be meeting them on tour.
Book-ended by shows in Vancouver, the bands will trek down the West coast, through Oregon and California, where they will play at the now-legendary venue the Smell, as well as a show at Bakersfield, Californias Munoz Gym, a venue where bands perform in a boxing ring!
Defektors recently released their debut seven-inch on Hockey Dad this month. B-Lines will be selling a repress of their hard-to-find demo cassette on the tour.
