Vampire Weekend have a new album on the way on May 7 through XL, and the indie pop outfit have previewed Modern Vampires of the City by sharing the songs "Diane Young" and "Step."
"Diane Young" is a fast, hard-hitting pop-rock number that's filled with chaotic percussion overdubs, frantic guitar and includes a bridge of pitch-altered vocals. The stream features a simple video of a car burning in front of the city skyline.
As for "Step," it's a little slower and more straightforward and is bookended by heavily processed vocals. It's accompanied by a lyric video that features black-and-white city scenes.
