UK post-hardcore unit Vales may not be reinventing the wheel with new screamo-flavoured number "Scripted," but when you do it this well, why bother switching up the template.
The track brings to mind Envy or Touche Amore, with buzzing six-string melancholia unfurling over manic drum fills in the intro, tempering itself with a cleaned-up waltz passage and exploding into amp-dialling melodic finale. All of this, of course, is served as the blueprint for vocalist Chlo Edwards to let loose her invigorating, impassioned cries. You can check out "Scripted" in the player down below.
