R&B icon Usher hasn't given up the due date for his impending new album, but the veteran vocalist will be bringing at least a few new songs and the rest of his hits out on the road this fall as part of his "The UR Experience" tour.
Revealed this morning (September 2), the trip marks Usher Raymond's (or UR) first major headlining tour in three years. A press release explains that the trek will have the singer delivering "a fresh take on early and recent songs," as well as teasing material off his next album, rumoured to be titled either Everything You Can Imagine or, simply, UR.
He kicks things off in Canada with the tour opener taking place at Montreal's Bell Centre on November 1. "The UR Experience" also has him hitting Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver. Coming along for the ride will be rising New Orleans R&B figure August Alsina and DJ Cassidy.
A trailer for the trip was also revealed today. The "fired-up" promo clip finds Usher working on his boxing and dancing skills, getting pumped up with his dance squad and concluding with a whistle-heavy version of his "Good Kisser." Though few details have surfaced behind the new album, Usher has thus far previewed "Good Kisser," the Mike WiLL Made It-produced "Believe Me," and the recently unveiled Nicki Minaj collaboration, "She Came to Give It to You."
