Update: Noel Gallagher No Longer to Testify Against V Fest Attacker in Toronto

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 11, 2010

As previously reported, Ontario man Daniel Sullivan is facing a world of hurt for his Oasis attack. In case you forgot, the 48-year-old rushed the stage at Toronto's Virgin Music Festival in 2008, and pushed former Oasis brother Noel Gallagher, causing three broken ribs and a postponed tour.

Late last week, reports trickled in that Gallagher would be appearing in court to make a victim impact statement. Sullivan had already pleaded guilty for the assault, so this looked like an attempt for the Brit pop icon to make the sentencing as harsh as possible.

Whatever the motive was, Noel has now decided not to bother crossing the ocean just to raise a fuss. Blaming scheduling difficulties, the Gallagher brother announced that he won't be appearing before a Toronto court this March. While we're not sure what's causing those scheduling conflicts, it's definitely not Oasis.
