Yesterday (January 6) we told you about Lil Wayne's involvement in Freaknik a new Adult Swim cartoon produced by T-Pain in which Wayne was to play Jesus Christ, aka the son of God. Well, it turns out that although the character's name is indeed Jesus, the character in the show has no biological relation to the Judeo-Christian concept of the lord almighty.
As an Adult Swim spokesperson told CNN, "Lil Wayne's character is still evolving. All we can say is that he is named Jesus and not Jesus Christ."
As previously reported, Freaknik will air March 21 on the Cartoon Network. We're guessing Weezy's got his fingers crossed that his New York prison cell will get the channel.
