Update: Chris Cornell Fires Back At Trent Reznor

In the wake of Trent Reznor's recent Twitter bashing, Chris Cornell has posted a little retort. "What do you think Jesus would twitter?" Cornell asks. "'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' or 'Has anyone seen Judas? He was here a minute ago.'" Owww... snap!

Cornell's scripture-quoting response comes after Reznor said the former Soundgarden singer's new solo album, Scream, was like "that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable." And while Reznor has not yet laid any more hurt on Cornell, former NIN keyboard player Alessandro Cortini recently added some more anti-Scream fuel to the fire, tweeting "Once again, please somebody erase this nightmare that is Chris Cornell's new album" and "I don't know why I am listening to it. I am so bummed right now! Where's Soundgarden?"

Besides Cornell calling his fellow '90s alt-rock alumnus a stone-casting Judas, he recently unloaded some new-age-sounding junk on his Twitter, with a tweet that read "Sometimes in the morning I look out across the day, and I see the fist fight between the wind pushing me back and the sun calling my name," as well as one that simply says, "I just ate shrimp."
