United Nations Take 'The Next Four Years' on North American Tour, Premiere New Track

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 3, 2014

Former Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly's United Nations project ambitiously laid out plans for The Next Four Years via their upcoming album of the same name, with group's most immediate plans apparently being a summer North American tour.

The band's summer schedule has begun to fill up following the album's July 15 due date on Temporary Residence Ltd., with a trip starting up just a couple of weeks later out in Brooklyn. The two-week tour finds United Nations banding together up in Canada twice, with shows set to take place in Montreal and Toronto. You'll find all of the show details down below.

As previously reported, The Next Four Years is the first release from United Nations since their 2010 7-inch Never Mind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures. The new 11-song offering is described as a "furious homage to the pioneers of punk and a scorching critique on the current state of 'punk.'" The first preview from the set has now been released, and you can check out the relentless assault of "Serious Business" down beneath the tour info.
