Unida

Coping With The Urban Coyote

BY Sean PalmerstonPublished Oct 1, 1999

After starting on a very weak note earlier this year (a split CD with Dozer on Meteorcity), former Kyuss / Slo-Burn vocalist John Garcia and co. have hit the nail on the head with their full-length debut. A classic rock album worth mentioning in the breath as AC/DC’s Highway To Hell, Thin Lizzy’s Jailbreak or even the Cult’s Electric, Coping With…is the rock record Kyuss should have made after Sky Valley. In your face and much more direct than any of Garcia’s other bands, Unida is a rock and roll juggernaut that would be mind-blowing live, if they are even half as good as they are on this disc.
