Yesterday (March 30) we learned that late house pioneer Frankie Knuckles will be remembered with an upcoming anthology. For a more immediate tribute to the artist, UK electronic act Underworld have teamed up with Heller & Farley to cover Knuckles' classic "Baby Wants to Rise."

As Underworld's Karl Hyde explained in a press release, Knuckles' innovation in dance music was critical in the formation of their group."In the early days of Underworld, Darren Emerson used to bring in Knuckles tracks when we were writing, for reference, or if him and Rick were making a mix, there would always be Frankie tracks in the pile of 12-inches they were using," he said.

Terry Farley added, "There are certain ideals that people in the house community hold dear, and Frankie embodied them. He wasn't just respected, he was loved, for the person he was and for what he stood for. The house community, worldwide, lost its leading light. Without a doubt."

"Baby Wants to Ride" arrives with a funky, vintage dance video, available below. The song is also available on a 12-inch or as a digital download, with proceeds going towards the Frankie Knuckles Fund. Pick up a copy here.
