The Danish octet with a Canadian connection — their third album, Samme Stof Som Stof, was released by Paper Bag Records — played their second Pop show at the usually charming Cabaret, but the transient festival crowd lacked the patience to properly enjoy their atmospheric, chamber rock onslaught (myself included). Their silences were filled with ample crowd chatter, their stage stripped of the light and patterns that usually drape them — apparently their visual gear was stolen prior to their show two days earlier. Overall, it was a sadly unsatisfying experience despite the lovely music. Here’s hoping they return in a theatre with seating.
