Meg Remy's latest album as U.S. Girls arrived less than two years ago, and today, news of the follow-up has finally surfaced. U.S. Girls' seventh studio record Heavy Light is set to arrive March 6 via Royal Mountain Records/4AD.

Alongside the record announcement, U.S. Girls have shared a rework of 2013's "Overtime" (including accompanying visuals), as well as plans for an extensive North American tour.

The tour commences next month in Toronto, making stops in Montreal and Vancouver before wrapping up in Philadelphia, PA, in May. The tour will see the band accompanied by seven additional vocalists for three of the 30 dates, in Toronto, Montreal and New York City.

U.S. Girls recorded Heavy Light "live off the floor, resulting in an organic and powerful album" with 20 session musicians, including E Street Band saxophonist Jake Clemons. The record features 10 new songs, as well as three reworked tracks from the group's discography.

Heavy Light is U.S. Girls' follow-up to 2018's In a Poem Unlimited. Exclaim! recently named it one of the 50 Best Canadian Albums of the 2010s, while album cut "Velvet 4 Sale" was named one of the 50 Best Canadian Songs of the 2010s.
