U2 Take 'Songs of Innocence' on World Tour with Stops in Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 3, 2014

A cycling accident may have caused U2 to replace Bono with some high-profile guest singers at a Time Square performance earlier this week, but they'll be reunited with their regular frontman for an upcoming world tour.

The 'iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour' will see the band trekking across the globe for the majority of next year in support of this year's Songs of Innocence.

The tour will kick off with back-to-back shows in Vancouver on May 14 and 15 before travelling down the West Coast of the United States. Bono and co. will return north of the border for a pair of Montreal gigs on June 12 and 13, and will make their final Canadian appearances with another double whammy of dates in Toronto on July 6 and 7.

After wrapping up in North America, U2 will cross the Atlantic for a couple of months worth of shows in Europe, with special hometown benefit shows for the U2-initiated Music Generation project in Dublin still in the works.

"We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two," said Bono in a press release, addressing the double shows in each city. "And have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience."

Tickets for the tour go on sale December 8. You can see the full itinerary listed below.

UPDATE: U2 have added extra shows in select cities, including Montreal, New York, Chicago, Boston, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Berlin, and Paris. You can see the updated schedule below.
