Ty Segall & Dillon Watson

"Needles in the Camel's Eye" (Brian Eno cover)

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Sep 28, 2012

Ty Segall has been amassing a fairly extensive catalogue of covers, making his own unique versions of songs by a diverse range of artists, from the Misfits to T.Rex to AC/DC. Now together with his good friend Dillon Watson, singer from D. Watusi, Segall delivers a particularly raw version of Brian Eno's "Needles in the Camel's Eye."

The original song comes from Eno's debut solo album, 1973's Here Come the Warm Jets. Segall and Watson's version of the song is the B-side a collaborative 7-inch with Seth Sutton of the Useless Eaters, whose contribution to the release is called "I Hate the Kids," and the split release is out now via Dead Records.
