Taylor Swift took the stand yesterday (August 10) in Denver federal court to testify in a sexual assault case against a former radio DJ who allegedly groped the singer during a 2013 meet-and-greet.

The ex-radio personality, David Mueller, lost his job after the incident went public and sued the singer for $3 million USD in damages. In a symbolic move, Swift countersued for sexual assault and is asking for a $1 settlement.

During yesterday's court appearance, Swift impressed many fans and members of the media with her strong testimony and cutting comebacks. When it was suggested that Swift should have been critical of her bodyguard for not interfering, she replied: "I'm critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass."

She also refused to take the blame for Mueller being fired from his job after the alleged assault. "I am not going to allow your client to make me feel like it is anyway my fault because it isn't," she said.

Now, a number of Swift's famous friends and admirers are showing their support for the pop star on social media. See some of the messages of encouragement below.

The employees in an office building that faces the courthouse have also been showing their support for Swift, posting messages of support in the window.
