Though buzz has been steadily building for Long Island dream pop upstarts Twin Sister over the last year, the last couple of months have seen a surge of activity for the group. There was the split seven-inch with the Luyas, some tour dates, a reissue of their debut EP and, most importantly, the announcement of their debut full-length, In Heaven. While the new disc drops this fall on esteemed imprint Domino, the band also has a quickie single to unveil for fans before the album's September 27 release date.
A press release confirms that the group will drop a ten-inch single for the recently revealed album track "Bad Street." You can download the decidedly funky song here. In addition to that cut, the single contains two exclusive b-sides ("In Heaven" and "You Remind Me Of"). The record comes out courtesy of Domino on July 19.
In other band news, while we already knew they had a couple of Canadian gigs lined up this summer, in Toronto and Montreal, respectively, the band have also announced that they'll be on the road with post-rockers Explosions in the Sky come September. That means Twin Sister will be joining the troupe for their show at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre, September 9. Check out the full details below.
