Twin Shadow Reschedules "Eclipse" Tour, Inks Deal with Warner Bros. for New LP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 3, 2014

Back in August, George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow disappointed fans with the cancellation of his "Eclipse" tour, but as promised, the North American dates have been rescheduled and the tour will push ahead in the new year.

Lewis previously explained that the dates were pulled so that the live show would live up to the band's ambitions, saying: "We want to make sure we get it right."

In the same apology statement, he claimed that there were "really great things going on behind the scenes of Twin Shadow that I want to tell you badly about, but we need to take some time to make sure everything settles perfectly." Well, it seems now that one of those things was a new record deal, as Lewis has penned a deal with Warner Bros. for Twin Shadow's next record.

It will mark his third record as Twin Shadow and follow up 2012's Confess. Lewis released the following statement about the changing tour plans, upcoming album and new label via the band's Tumblr:

Towards the end of recording this third Twin Shadow album, I came into a strong feeling — a place of creative change. I wanted to give you an uncompromising experience at every turn. To do this, I had to put the brakes on the tour, the planned album release, and reconsider where Twin Shadow was headed. With even more perspective, I realized that I was going to need help to pull off the vision for this album.

I'm excited to announce that I've found a group of like-minded people at Warner Bros. Records to help me accomplish this goal. In the interest of progress and adventure, I look forward to the new relationship (and hopefully a coffee with Prince).
