Published Jul 07, 2014These days, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy is performing with his son Spencer in the family band Tweedy, and as they prepare to release their album Sukierae, they've shared another cut from that collection.
"Summer Noon" is a soothing folk acoustic ballad with steady acoustic strums, buoyant bass and Tweedy's signature weary vocals. The younger Tweedy does a good job of laying down a steady, marching-band style backbone. Meanwhile, the accompanying CGI video shows a red balloon floating over an ocean, through the mountains and down a set of railroad tracks. Watch it below.
Sukierae arrives on September 16 through dBpm Records. New songs will continue to be rolled out on a weekly basis for the next couple of months.
"Summer Noon" also appears on the soundtrack of the film Boyhood, although it was originally credited to Jeff Tweedy (rather than the duo Tweedy) so we previously weren't sure that it was going to be part of Sukierae.
