TV Freaks Announce New 7-Inch, Canadian Tour Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 23, 2014

Coming off the fall release of Two, Hamilton, ON garage punk players TV Freaks have announced they're about to follow-up their sophomore LP with a quickie 7-inch single.

The band will bust out a new three-song single June 24 through Hosehead Records. While previous platters leaned heavy on a Stooges influence, this latest effort is said to be informed by "the intensity of early [U.S. hardcore]", while still retaining "a keen ear for hooks and oddball disruptions."

You can check out the raging A-side, "Leeches," down below. The other tracks on the record are called "Mommy's Place" and "Lose It."

Ahead of the vinyl release, TV Freaks will be hitting the road for a series of concert dates. The trip kicks off in Hamilton on May 16 for a show with Teenanger and George Pettit's new Dead Tired outfit and will head towards the Maritimes, including a couple of U.S. dates before wrapping things in Toronto.
