True Identity

'Demo '15' (EP stream)

Vancouver's True Identity are letting you take a good look at what they have to offer via the unveiling of their debut release, Demo '15. Namely, it's a mastery of modern Youth Crew, and you can hear it all online now ahead of a proper physical release.

"Step..." is a tough-as-nails instrumental opener fixated on military snare rolls and some aggression-fuelled guitar chugging. "True Identity" traffics in high-speed hardcore licks, with vocalist Jim Hesketh's vocals touching on values held and authentic bonds made in and out of the punk scene. Less united is "Tension Breaks," a Chain of Strength-styled rage-out against belligerent drunks.

True Identity boast an impressive members-of roster that includes Pacific Northwest favourites like Champion, Keep It Clear, Blue Monday, ON and more. You can check out the demo down below, while React Records has plans to issue physical copies sometime in the future.
