Tranzmitors

Tranzmitors

BY Liz WorthPublished Jul 18, 2007

The much-anticipated full-length debut from Vancouver’s Tranzmitors is here and as far as albums go, it doesn’t get much better than these ten tracks of pop punk bliss. As the very first note creeps out, the combustive energy of the Tranzmitors takes hold and doesn’t let up. Comprised of current and former members of the Smugglers, the New Town Animals and the Parallels, the Tranzmitors’ style would find a happy home with fans of the Pointed Sticks, Clorox Girls, Buzzcocks and early Damned. Combining tinges of surf and sunshine with straight-ahead punk energy and perfect pop sensibilities, the Tranzmitors are undoubtedly poised to win the hearts of even the most jaded music fans. The album’s final song, "Everyone Wants to Lose Control,” seems a fitting sentiment to finish on, because losing control is exactly what this music will make you want to do.
