Over the weekend, Chicago rapper Towkio was accused of rape — an allegation he has since denied.

On Sunday (January 6), Twitter user @pppermint tweeted, "February 2016, I was raped, by Preston Oshita aka Towkio."

The woman then went on to detail her alleged 2016 encounter with Oshita via a series of detailed tweets.

Oshita soon responded to the allegations, also via Twitter. He wrote the following:

To provide necessary context, she and I were in an ongoing consensual sexual relationship dating back to 2014 which even included other women. I only say this to provide context and in no way to victim shame. It is my hope that her and I can engage in a dialogue in a place where she feels comfortable to discuss our past relationship and her feelings.

Down below, you can see all the tweets in question. Please note that they contain details that some readers may find disturbing.

As of press time, no charges have been laid against Towkio, and no allegations have been proven in court.
