Keeping track of digital music collections can be hard enough, let alone remembering when favourite bands are passing through town. But this is about to change thanks to a cool little app called iConcertCal (www.iconcertcal.com). The brainchild of two Seattle grad students, iConcertCal is a free iTunes plug-in that scans your music library and generates a personalised calendar of upcoming live shows in your designated city. Drawing from online sources such as Jambase and Pollstar, the plug-in produces surprisingly thorough listings. And with weekly updates and the ability to use play lists to refine which artists the program searches for, you may never miss out on an important gig again.
