I like how blog Big Stereo puts it: "The Tough Alliance came to me like a gift from the gods. And it does actually feel that with this inventive dance pop duo. Their debut album, The New School, is an absolute classic yet to be discovered, building fantastic contrast between their forthright hooliganism and such divine, teenage melodies. This former single uses gushy synths to emphasise the makeshift, but somewhat perfect lyrics. The fact that they swing baseball bats whilst performing on stage makes them all the more endearing.
