Published Aug 26, 2013Now in its third year, Toronto's Not Dead Yet hardcore punk festival might be breaking out its biggest edition yet. The 2013 shows, which hit various venues across the city from November 14 to 17, now have an initial lineup, and it's both diverse and exciting.
Along with queer hardcore legends Limp Wrist, who headline the event, the fest features the return of Ontario's pre-Cursed hardcore titans Left for Dead, as well as Boston Strangler, Mind Eraser, Mammoth Grinder, Waste Management, the Repos and post-hardcore outfit Circle Takes the Square.
Not enough for you? The lineup also includes No Tolerance, Green Beret, Needles, Impalers, Vaaskam Criaturas, Peacebreakers, Gag, Stick Together, Disengage, Violent End, Gas Rag, White Wards, Asile, Proxy, Condition, Manipulation, Blotter, Wiccans, Warthog, Concrete Asylum, Vixens, Column of Heaven, Kremlin, S.H.I.T., Violent Future, Demolition, Foxmoulder and Born Wrong, with more to be added.
As the promoters state, the fest is "same style as usual. No full day gigs — see what you want, skip what you don't. There'll be matinees, evening gigs, after parties and who knows what else."
