This year's summer festival schedule is already overflowing, but it wouldn't be complete without an announcement from Toronto's long-running Edgefest. The event will be returning to city's Downsview Park on July 31.

Among the main stage performers for this year's festival are the Lumineers, Band of Horses, Mother Mother, Monster Truck, Dinosaur Bones, Wake Owl, July Talk and the Neighbourhood. The side stage will host acts like Imaginary Cities, Great Bloomers, Twin Forks, Hey Marseilles, You Won't, Lucius and the Treble.

A ticket pre-sale begins tomorrow (April 9) before the tickets go on sale to the public on Friday (April 12). Early bird tickets are $39.50, and once those sell out, standard passes as $49.50 (plus charges). VIP tickets are $99.50 and offer a special viewing area and exclusive facilities.

"Edgefest is more than an institution," said 102.1 the Edge's program director Ross Winters. "It is an annual rite of passage for those who want to rock. This year's show takes it to an astonishing level. It's the best Edgefest ever!"
