Toronto's 21C Festival Returns with Kronos Quartet and Tanya Tagaq
The Royal Conservatory of Music is set to return with its third annual instalment of the 21C Music Festival in Toronto this spring, and the list of this year's performers has been unveiled. The festival places an emphasis on music composed in the 21st century and runs from May 25 to 29, featuring seven eclectic shows across the five days.

Things kick off of on May 25 with a show from the Kronos Quartet and special guest Tanya Tagaq at Koerner Hall. May 26, meanwhile, will see a solo show courtesy of Brad Mehldau, as well as a Continuum Contemporary Music presentation of Japan: NEXT. Then on May 27, a special event dubbed "21C After Hours: Blackout" will submerge audience members at the Conservatory Theatre in darkness as they're aurally entertained by the music of John Oswald.
 
May 28 boasts a performance from Cinq á Sept, as well as Jherek Bischoff, Dawn of Midi and the Visit at Koerner Hall before the festival wraps up with a finale show from James Ehnes and Andrew Armstron on May 29 at the same venue.
