Continuing the string of recent venue closures in Toronto, EDM haven UNIUN Nightclub will be closing its doors at the end of the month.

The venue's Twitter account announced the closure today, along with a five-part series of farewell events beginning December 26 and culminating in a New Year's Eve party on December 31. So far, the acts announced for the closing parties include Borgore, Getter, Manzone & Strong, Joee Cons, Dee Cee, Kevin Faria, and Chris LaRoque.

UNIUN's website still lists a pair of event listings for February 2019 ā€” Two Friends on February 15 and R3HAB on February 22. No statement has been made as of yet regarding relocation or cancellation.

The nightclub made headlines in 2013 when a visit from Justin Bieber resulted in the pop star being tackled by another club-goer, losing his $40,000 gold chain in the ensuing fracas.

The venue was opened in 2012 by Toronto business owner Charles Khabouth, owner of INK Entertainment and prominent Toronto venue REBEL.

There has been no given reason for the venue closure, but UNIUN's Twitter account asks readers to "Stay tuned for something new."
