Toronto Urban Roots Festival Expands 2014 Lineup with Beirut, Jeff Tweedy, July Talk

From July 4 to 6, the Toronto Urban Roots Festival will return for its second annual instalment. Now, following an initial lineup announcement, another batch of performers has been added to the bill.

Newly announced additions to the festival include Beirut, Jeff Tweedy, July Talk, Bidiniband (led by Dave Bidini of Rheostatics), the Weeks, Ladies of the Canyon, and Jon-Boy Langford & the Burlington Men's Welsh Chorus.

These performers join a lineup that includes Sam Roberts Band, Neutral Milk Hotel, Gogol Bordello, Steve Earle, the Gaslight Anthem, Man Man, Violent Femmes, Deer Tick, Gary Clark Jr., Black Joe Lewis, Local Natives, Andrew Bird & the Hands of Glory, Drive-By Truckers, Jenny Lewis, Hey Rosetta!, Born Ruffians, Hollerado, New Country Rehab and more.

Early bird tickets are currently available and cost $199.50 (plus charges) for a three-day pass, $199.50 (plus charges) for a VIP pass, or $299.50 (plus charges) for a so-called "master VIP" pass. Early bird pricing ends on March 31 at 10 p.m. local time.

Single day tickets for $59.50 and single day VIP tickets for $99.50 go on sale on April 3 at noon local time.

TURF's day-by-day schedule will be confirmed on April 1. There will also be an after-hours club series featuring pre-TURF performances on July 2 and post-TURF gigs on July 7. Those will be announced in April.
