Toronto Raptors Plan "Drake Night"

Further strengthening Drake's role as the Toronto Raptors' "global ambassador," it's been announced that the basketball team will host "Drake Night" at a game next month.

While details are slim, Drake uploaded a poster for the event on his OVO blog, confirming that it takes place January 11 at the Air Canada Centre, when the Raps square off against the Brooklyn Nets. This will be the second match-up between the two teams this season, with the Raptors having fallen to the Nets in a 102-100 squeaker at Air Canada Centre in November.

So far, it's unclear if Drake will make an appearance at the game, though his DJ Future the Prince will play a set during halftime. The night will also yield fans a special Raptors/OVO "Drake Night" T-shirt. While a pic of the product has yet to be unveiled, chances are that shirt will look crisp when paired with his signature Bluejays cap.

The Raptors are currently running an under .500 season, losing last night (December 23) in San Antonio against the Spurs.

UPDATE: Drake has confirmed he will be in attendance during "Drake Night" and has unveiled an exclusive new collaborative shirt, which you can check out here.
