Toronto Duo TRP.P Premiere New Single "Heart's Last Call"

Toronto two-piece TRP.P (pronounced "Trippy") have just unveiled a brand new track titled "Heart's Last Call."

The group is comprised of producer and singer/songwriter Truss and singer/songwriter Phoenix Pagliacci, and they bounce their talents off each other, creating a unique blend of hip-hop and R&B.

The latest track hears Pagliacci taking the reigns, and toying with a Maschine Mikro II (that she originally bought as a gift for Truss).

"I dedicate this one to my love, my partner in music and in life", Pagliacci said in a statement. "So many of us don't get to tell those we love how we truly feel while they are still here. This song will be that message long after we are both gone."

And despite the celebratory message behind the song, it's also a call to remembrance, as the anniversaries of King Reign, Smoke Dawg and Redway's deaths approach.

"Summer is supposed to be the time of year we all look forward to enjoying," Truss added. "But for the Toronto creative community, we spend so much of it remembering those we've lost and wishing they were here to enjoy it with us."

Listen to "Heart's Last Call" below.

TRP.P's next EP, 2TRP.P, is due out on September 6. TRP.P will be performing on the Exclaim! Stage at the Bentway Sunday Socials event series in Toronto this Sunday (July 14).
