Returning for its fifth year, New Friends Fest — the local, collective-run DIY mecca of all things punk and hardcore — has announced its 2024 lineup. The three-day immersive experience and all-ages celebration of community will take place at Lithuanian House from August 2 to 4.
Throughout the event's history, organizers have booked legendary punk and hardcore acts from Canada and around the world. This year is obviously no exception, with reunions and debuts galore: Newfound Interest in Connecticut play their first show in 18 years, and the newly reunited Saetia make their Canadian debut, while Raein perform their first North American set since 2013.
The stacked lineup also includes Hamilton heavyweights Vile Creature, plus Boxcutter, Terry Green, Dowsing, Football, etc., We Were Skeletons, Heavenly Blue, Gossip, Jeromes Dream and many, many more.
Three-day passes are on sale now via the New Friends Fest website. A limited number of discounted "locals only" tickets will be available at Emissions Records on Brunswick Street starting February 16, with single-day tickets to come in the spring.
