Last week, Toro y Moi (aka Chaz Bundick) announced Anything in Return, his first proper LP since 2011's funked-up Underneath the Pine. While Carpark won't let loose the album until January 22, Bundick is giving us some goods before the street date in the form of a stream of new tune "So Many Details."
The track takes on some R&B properties, with a Bundick's reedy pipes getting backed by a whirlwind of drum machine beats, squelching '80s synths and bell hits before capping with some busy tabla rhythms.
Along with appearing on Anything in Return, "So Many Details" will also be pressed on a 7-inch in its dark, wriggly R&B form on the A-side, with a the flip containing a remix prepped by Bundick himself, featuring Odd Future dude Hodgy Beats. The vinyl single is due November 23 as part of the Black Friday edition of Record Store Day.
