Torche Sign with Volcom Entertainment, Set to Work on New Album
Florida-based sludge metal trio Torche recently revealed that they will be releasing a split twelve-inch with Part Chimp to accompany both bands on their North American tour. As if that weren't enough to keep you excited, Torche are now in the planning stages of a new album on a new label.

While the record doesn't have a title just yet, the group have officially signed with Volcom Entertainment for the release. The record will be self-produced by the band in their Miami studio Pinecrust, then the final recordings will be delivered to Converge's Kurt Ballou to be mixed.

Volcom reports that the album will be available in the spring or early summer of 2012. Torche's last release was 2010's Songs for Singles EP, which Exclaim! named the best metal release of the year.
